More than 2,000 athletes and officials have gathered in Kaduna for the Armed Forces Games.
Kaduna is set to host at least 2,000 athletes and officials for the Armed Forces Games, a selection trial for Nigeria's team competing in the upcoming Africa Military Games, from September 24 to 28, 2024.
The Africa Military Games are tentatively scheduled to take place in Abuja from November 18 to November 30, 2024, under the theme “Enhancing Military Cooperation in Africa through Sports.”
Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, the Director of Sports at Defence Headquarters, shared this information while speaking to journalists at the Stallion Officers’ Mess in Dalet Barracks, Kaduna, on Saturday.
Marquis announced that the games will feature 19 sporting events, including football, basketball, volleyball, and athletics.
