Sunshine Stars' Coach Aims for Full Points in Ikenne

 

Kennedy Boboye, Technical Adviser of Sunshine Stars, has stated that his team is in Ikenne with the intention of securing three points against Remo Stars in their Matchday 2 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The match, set to take place at the Remo Stars FC Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, is being called the 'Oduduwa' derby.

In a pre-match interview, Boboye noted that if Remo Stars can claim three points at home against Abia Warriors, there is no reason Sunshine Stars can't do the same against the Ikenne-based team on Saturday.

The former Nigeria international emphasized that achieving three points against Remo Stars is within reach if his team capitalizes on their opportunities.

"We are in Ogun State to secure maximum points against Remo Stars," he affirmed.

"I have confidence in my players as they are responsive to training and show great potential. I hope every instruction given during training translates into a successful performance on Saturday," he added.

Both Sunshine Stars and Remo Stars won their opening games of the 2024/25 NPFL season.
