Waldrum Steps Down as Head Coach of the Super Falcons
Randy Waldrum has resigned as head coach of the Super Falcons. He cited his wife's health issues as the primary reason for his decision.
In a statement, Waldrum said, “The past few weeks have been extremely challenging due to my wife’s health problems and the associated concerns. After careful consideration, I am stepping down as Head Coach of the Super Falcons. This will give the NFF enough time to appoint a new manager for this remarkable team.”
Waldrum, who began coaching the Super Falcons in 2020, previously declined the opportunity to lead the team three years earlier. He balanced this role with his position at Pittsburgh Panthers. His final game with the Super Falcons was their group stage match against Japan at the 2024 Olympics.
