Conference League: Felix scores twice as Chelsea secures a 4-1 victory over Panathinaikos

Chelsea secured a comfortable 4-1 victory over Panathinaikos in Athens, continuing their winning streak in the UEFA Conference League. Joao Felix opened the scoring before halftime, tapping in a close-range shot from Mykhailo Mudryk. After the break, Mudryk extended the lead, followed by Felix netting his second with a deflected shot. Christopher Nkunku then converted a penalty to seal the win, while Facundo Pellistri scored a late consolation for the hosts.

Felix and Mudryk were key players in this match, with Felix scoring the first goal midway through the first half after receiving a pass from Mudryk. Mudryk added a second goal early in the second half and assisted Felix's next strike. Nkunku’s penalty rounded off Chelsea's scoring. The game also marked an emotional tribute to George Baldock, honoring him in Panathinaikos' first home match since his passing.

Despite earning only one point from their opening match, Panathinaikos managed to threaten early on, with Tin Jedvaj’s header saved brilliantly by Chelsea's Filip Jorgensen. Chelsea struggled to create clear chances in the first half but found their rhythm after halftime, with Mudryk playing a crucial role in both the second and third goals, setting up Felix for the latter with a deflection that caught the goalkeeper off guard.
