Iheanacho and Ejuke join Super Eagles in Uyo ahead of Libya showdown

 

The Sevilla duo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidera Ejuke, have arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.

Their arrival, confirmed on the Super Eagles’ official X page on Wednesday, indicates that all the invited players for the double-header are now in town, although no official update has been provided on Bright Osayi-Samuel's presence. Iheanacho's inclusion in the squad has sparked mixed reactions, with some questioning his selection while praising Ejuke’s call-up due to his impressive form in La Liga.

Iheanacho has featured in five La Liga matches during the 2024/2025 season, logging 272 minutes of playing time.
