Armed Robbers attacks El-Kanemi Warriors

Players and officials of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side El-Kanemi Warriors were attacked by armed robbers on the Jos-Bauchi road early Saturday morning.

The team was en route to Maiduguri after a 2-0 loss to Ikorodu City in a Matchday 14 fixture played in Lagos on Wednesday.

Reports indicate that several players and officials sustained injuries during the attack, while the robbers made off with valuables, including phones and cash.

The injured individuals are currently receiving medical care at a hospital in Bauchi.
